Board of Assessors Meeting Meeting
called to order at 3:30 PM with Gordon Goodfellow; Chairman present,
Ron Sankus and Janet Black, Secretary to the Board. March 24, 2004: Signed MV&T application for abatement for Toyota Financial, plate cancelled and vehicle sold $51.25. The Board signed WPAT warrant and notice to accountant in the amount of $7,269.53. Signed recommit for a MV&T of a previously not collectable excise for 1991 in the amount of $15.31 and notice to the accountant for the same amount. The Board received the monthly MAAO newsletters. Reviewed computer amounts sent over by Michael Creedon (representing State contract prices). Total hardware and installation was quoted as $7,812. Gordon called Cindy McRae, Town Accountant and she said we did not have to go out to bid as the hardware and installation was under State Contract prices. The Board discussed abatement applications still pending as needed information not yet been received. Jeffrey Perry; waiting for information from the Board of Assessors in Taunton as Mr. Perry is on Taunton Line; Sunrise Cable Inc. waiting for information from new owner; and Randjay Corp., waiting for ACONE to review. The Board sent a letter to Rita Garbitt regarding FY2005 and budget for our Senior Clerk Jaime Velazquez; re: yearly increase. Voted on and approved unanimously by the Board. The Board voted to adjourn the meeting at 5:15 PM. Next meeting to be held on March 31, 2004 at 3:30 PM. |
