The Highway Department is responsible for the maintenance of all public roadways within the Town. In addition, the Department is also now responsible for the maintenance of the cemeteries within the Town and all the properties under the supervision of the Park Commissioners.
Some of the responsibilities of the Department include road sweeping in the spring, cutting of brush along the sides of the roads and mowing cul-de-sacs in the summer, road repair throughout the year, and snow plowing during the winter.
