Annual Census and Street List Book
The annual census is mailed to every household in early January. Residents are urged to review, update, sign and return it as soon as possible even if there were no changes.
All occupants of the household should be listed, including children; although information obtained for residents under age 17 remains confidential except to the school system.
Forms can be mailed to the Town Clerks office, 346 Bedford Street, Lakeville or put into the drop box outside the Town office Building.
Town census is important for many reasons. First and foremost, it establishes legal residence for voting privileges and town benefits. It is also the vehicle by which the annual street list is printed for distribution to police, fire and medical personnel and it is the census figures that are used to determine grants or to receive state and federal reimbursements and aide. School enrollments and projections are also based on the town census.
Make sure you and your family are counted.
You may purchase a copy of the current street list for $10.00 or a copy of last years for $5.00.
