Paving Updates!

On Thursday, July 22nd contractors will be paving Bedford Street from the Rochester Town Line to Lakeside Avenue.  This work is expected to take two days and may begin before 7:00 a.m. 

The DPW recommends avoiding the area as it will be closed to thru traffic.  Local traffic will be allowed, but there will be roadway closures as travel will adversely affect the surface of the new pavement. Marked detours will be in place and police details will be onsite to assist with traffic flow.  Detours in this area may be lengthy, please allow for extra time.

Please continue to utilize caution in the construction areas as unpaved surfaces will be grooved.  Also, any newly paved surface will not have line striping at this point.  Reduce speed and stay aware of oncoming cars and bicyclists.
