How do I obtain a copy of a Lakeville police report? 

The Records Department of the Lakeville Police Department provides copies of official records to the public. These may be requested by calling 508-947-4422 ext 112 Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or use our ONLINE REQUEST FORM


I was in an accident. What do I need to do?

  • Contact your Insurance company.
  • Download and complete the Registry of Motor Vehicles Accident Form
  • Mail or deliver your completed operator's copy to the Lakeville Police Department.
  • Go online to BuyCrash to access and print the police accident report. (you may also request your report through our Records Department) 

Can I report criminal activity or information anonymously?

You can anonymously report crimes, suspicious behavior, or drug activity by utilizing one of the following three methods. If the issue or incident is in progress or requires immediate attention, please use option 1.

If my vehicle was towed or impounded by the police department, how do I retrieve my vehicle?

If your vehicle was towed or impounded by the Lakeville Police Department, you can call the station at 508-947-4422 and request information concerning the name of the tow company and where it is located. 


How do I obtain a restraining or harassment order?

You may acquire a restraining or harassment order at the Wareham District Court from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). If an order is required during court closed hours, you can come to the Lakeville Police Department to obtain an emergency order from an on-call judge.


How do I dispose of prescription medicines?

The Lakeville Police Department has a Prescription Drug receptacle located in the front lobby. You can safely dispose of unwanted, outdated, or unnecessary prescription drugs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please read what types of medications are accepted before arriving. MedReturn 


How do I become a Lakeville Police Officer? 

The Lakeville Police Department is a non-civil service agency. We actively participate in recruitment for qualified persons to fill sworn and non-sworn vacancies. We will accept and review resumes submitted with a cover letter depending upon the position that you are interested in. Any available position(s) will be announced on our Employment Opportunities page. 


How do I contact the department to file a citizen complaint?

The standard procedure is to come into or call the police department and speak with the supervisor. They will field your complaint and assist you in the matter.
