Animal Control
The Lakeville Animal Shelter, located on Montgomery Street provides care and shelter for both stray and unwanted animals.
Dogs are accepted from Lakeville residents and from Towns that Lakeville contracts with to board their stray or surrendered animals. For out of town residents, there is a $50.00 surrender fee.
The shelter has an active adoption program, which is run by David Frates. We urge anyone who is considering adding a pet to their lives to come and visit the shelter.
The Town of Lakeville also has a leash law, which is strictly enforced. To view the Town's by-laws regarding Animal Control, please click here.
