2021 Dog Licensing

New licenses will be issued starting January 4, 2021

2021 Dog licenses will be available at the town clerk’s office on January 4, 2021.  The registration period is January 1, 20201- April 30, 2021.  In order to license a dog, owners will need to provide a copy of a valid rabies certificate and certificate of spaying/neutering; a fee of $16 per dog if the dog has not been spayed or neutered; or a fee of $10 per dog for a spayed or neutered dog.  Dogs licensed after April 30th will be assessed a late fee of $50.00 in addition to the license fee; after September 30th the late fee increases to $100.00.  Non-payment could result with a court summons to Fourth District Court in Wareham, MA

RENEWAL:  A reminder to license dogs will be included on the 2021 Annual Town Census form.  Residents may complete the Mail-In form and submit payment through the mail or use the Town Clerk's Drop Box located in front of the Town Hall. 

NOTE: Due to COVID-19, Town Hall is still closed to the public

ONLINE:  If your dog’s rabies vaccination has not expired, consider renewing online.  Go to: www.lakevillema.org. 

ANNUAL RABIES CLINIC is usually held late March or early April.  Please check our website for approximate date (www.lakevillema.org).
