The Board of Selectmen pursuant to MGL Ch 39, §10 must insert articles into the Warrant that have been petitioned by registered voters in the Town.
To insert an article in the warrant for a Town Meeting, voters of the town must sign a written request. The written request of registered voters for the insertion of subjects in town meeting warrants shall not be valid unless the required number of registered voters not only sign their names but also state their residence, with street and number.
To place an article on the Annual Town Meeting Warrant submit the form below to the Board of Selectmen's Office prior to the close of the warrant:
- Ten (10) certified signatures are required
To place an article on the Special Town Meeting Warrant submit the form below to the Town Clerk's Office prior to the close of the warrant:
- One hundred (100) certified signatures are required or 10% of the total number of voters, whichever is lesser.
