PIERCE AVENUE - NEW ROADWORK SCHEDULE

Roadway work is expected to begin on Pierce Avenue, weather permitting, Thursday, May 26th.  Contractors will be using the Mill and Overlay process on the existing roadway.  The dates listed here were revised from the original letter by the paving contractor. 

The tentative schedule is as follows:

Milling - Thursday, May 26th & Friday, May 27th

Paving - Wednesday, June 1st & Thursday, June 2nd 

Residents of Pierce Avenue are asked to locate and flag existing sprinkler heads that are within ten feet of the roadway edge.  The Town of Lakeville is not responsible for the replacement of sprinkler heads or systems that are broken during construction but every effort will be made to avoid them if they are flagged. 

Police details will be onsite throughout the project to assist with traffic flow and safety.  There will be a rough road surface after milling, please use caution when traveling.  The top course of pavement will require additional time to set and road closures will be necessary to protect the integrity of the newly paved surface.  Marked detours will be in place. We are asking residents to exercise patience and use alternate routes whenever possible.
