Lakeville Planning Board

The Planning Board was Established at the Special Town Meeting of March 12, 1956, Article#18 and its first elected officials were elected on March 26, 1956.  The Planning Board is a five member elected Board with terms staggered so that each year, one member is elected at the Annual Town Election for a five year term. The Planning Board is responsible for ensuring that new land development meets both state (Chapter 41 Subdivision Control Law- adopted March 23, 1956.) and local zoning regulations.

Some of the duties of the Planning Board include:
 
  • Form A Plans - ANR (application for endorsement of plan believed not to require approval);
  • Form B Plans (preliminary plans);
  • Form C Plans (application for approval of a definitive plan);

The Planning Board also holds hearings concerning articles to be considered at Town Meeting on rezoning, zoning definitions and regulations. If you would like to schedule an appointment to appear before the Planning Board, please call (774) 776-4350.

Plans and documents may be dropped off at the Planning Department Office Monday through Thursday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm and Fridays between 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
