Absentee Voting

Whenever there is an election, ballots will be available three weeks in advance for voters who will not be able to get to the polls on voting day.

To vote absentee, requests must be made in writing either on the accepted state form or your own personal note. A fax is also acceptable.

Ballots can be voted in the Town Clerks office up till Noon of the day before the election, unless the election falls on a Monday, in which case voting is until 5 P.M. on the Friday before.

Ballots can also be mailed if the request is in writing and signed by the voter. In a case of a married couple, each must sign.

Residents can apply for ballots to be mailed to family members using the official state form. If there are extenuating circumstances or health issues, ballots can be requested for all elections in a calendar year on this same state form.
